eCPRINT Terms and Conditions of trade

By providing eCPRINT with an order the client hereby agrees to abide by the following terms and conditions:

Quotes
All prices quoted are based on work specified in the quote (and/or verbal instructions given when request is made). Quotes as well as terms and conditions will be deemed accepted upon the Customer placing an Order. eCPRINT shall only be required to fulfil the instructions specified in the quote. The customer is responsible to provide written instructions at the time of quotation. ECPRINT shall not be responsible for errors or omissions due to misinterpretation of verbal instructions.
The cost of additions or alterations to any proof submitted to a customer will be added to the price (unless changes to the proof are merely typographical corrections).
Express Completion of Order - The customer acknowledges that a requirement for urgent completion of an order increases the likelihood of defects. ECPRINT will use reasonable efforts to avoid defects but will not be liable for defects arising because of urgent completion of an order.
The price may be increased to cover overtime work or other additional costs incurred as a result of any requirement for urgent completion.

Orders
On placing your order with eCPRINT, work will not commence on your project, until order form and brief have been provided and a non refundable 50% deposit paid.
All credit account customers must supply a purchase order signed by an authorised representative before their order can be processed.
Third party suppliers - If eCPRINT has to obtain goods from third party suppliers and/or services not normally stocked or supplied by ECPRINT in order to carry out the customer’s instructions:
a) eCPRINT will not be liable for any breach of these Terms and Conditions if that breach is a result of or is connected with the supply by the third party of such goods and/or services.
b) eCPRINT acquires these goods and/or services as agent for the customer and not as principal. It will have no liability to the customer in relation to the supply of those goods and/or services. Any claim by the customer in relation to the supply of those goods and/or services must be made directly against the third party supplier.
c) The customer must pay for such goods and/or services.
d) Any such goods are obtained on the basis that title in those goods passes to ECPRINT when the goods are incorporated into the work done by ECPRINT.

Design
Artwork designed by ECPRINT remains copyrighted to ECPRINT and it’s designers until paid for in full. Unless otherwise stated in the product description, one proof is provided at no charge and extra revisions start from $25.
ECPRINT’s working (source) files remain the property of ECPRINT, even after a project is complete. Source files include but are not limited to vector files, layered files, fonts, linked files, and stock photography licenses. ECPRINT reserves the right not to release these files, and charge fees for providing files at it’s own discretion.
Design work allows for one proof to be provided. Extra proofs with changes to the design are available for $25 each. If the Client believes that ECPRINT has not followed the brief to the best of it’s understanding, then they may request changes to the design at no cost. Disputes will be mediated by ECPRINT Management.
Any future re-prints of the same printing product with the exact same design will incur no artwork fees. eCPRINT will retain copyright on all designs produced and may reproduce the designs only for the purpose of promoting eCPRINT’s design and print capabilities.

Submitting DIY artwork
Customers who upload their own DIY artwork are fully responsible for the end result of printing. We will not print any client supplied files unless the DIY Design guidelines have been read and the disclaimer signed. Customers must submit print ready artwork with the correct specifications as outlined on our DIY Design guidelines. eCPRINT will not be liable for any re-prints as a result of any customer supplied artwork. It is your reponsibilty to ensure that any design that is submitted is not in violation of any copyright laws. ECPRINT assumes that your artwork is legally yours or you have the correct permission to print it.
Please note that designing and submitting your artwork for printing can sometimes produce unplanned results if you do not have proper experience and training. Designing artwork for offset printing can be technical with a range of different variables that affect printing, often not noticeable on the computer screen. ECPRINT recommends getting a professional designer to design your artwork.
While ECPRINT does accept artwork formats such as Microsoft Office, it does not recommend these programs due to artwork complications that often arise.
ECPRINT reserves the right to make changes to your artwork without your consent to avoid printing problems that are likely to occur. This will rarely change the design, but if it does it will be evident in the proof you receive.
ECPRINT will rasterise all submitted DIY Artwork at standard print quality resolution before printing which effectively eliminates all vector data. If your artwork has not been submitted to our specifications and is too difficult to ammend, we will not proceed with printing and you will be required to resubmit the artwork to our specs. Artwork that requires resubmitting due to mistakes such as spelling or changes in preference will incur an Artwork Resubmission Fee of $25. If you are in any doubt as to your ability to adequately provide your own artwork, you perhaps should consider utilising our HAND HOLDING service.

Material supplied by the client
Disks and orginals supplied by the client for printing or scanning are done so at the risk of the client. eCPRINT takes all necessary care of handling your originals, however we take no responsibility for loss or damage of orginal artwork and/or disks submitted to create your print job. All submitted originals will be returned on completion of your job. We will not store any original artwork or disks any longer than 60 days from the date they were submitted. In the event of originals forgotten or left in our office by the client for longer than this time, we will attempt to contact you 3 times to come in and collect. By leaving originals and disks with us, you hereby understand that the goods may have been disposed of after a period of 60 days.

Copyright
Copyright in all artistic and literary works authored by ECPRINT shall remain the property of ECPRINT unless there is a written agreement to the contrary. The customer warrants to ECPRINT, that they (the customer)has copyright, or a licence to authorise ECPRINT to reproduce all artistic and literary works supplied by the customer to ECPRINT for the purpose of the Order. The Customer expressly authorises ECPRINT to reproduce all and any of such works for the purposes of the Order.
The Customer indemnifies and agrees to keep ECPRINT indemnified against all liability, losses or expenses incurred by ECPRINT in any way directly or indirectly connected with any breach of copyright or of any rights in relation to copyright in materials supplied by the customer.
Conditional upon receipt of payment in full for the work performed by ECPRINT, ECPRINT grants to the customer a non-exclusive license to use the copyright in works created by ECPRINT for the purposes of the Order.

Proofing
You will receive one free proof for each item ordered. Proofs provided by ECPRINT are an indication of the final printed product only. Variations in colour or trim can be a result of the printing process. No reprints at our cost will be allowed as a result of minor variations from proof to finished product. Resubmission of DIY artwork requires another proof to be prepared and emailed which costs $25 inc gst. Customers should read and follow our DIY Artwork Guidelines carefully before submitting their own artwork.

Accepting Proofs
When accepting artwork proofs from ECPRINT, you are held fully responsible for authorising all content ready to proceed to print. This includes design, spelling, grammar, numbers, layout and all content. It is your responsibility to request another copy if your proof is difficult to read. We will print precisely what is accepted in the final proof. Digital / emailed proofs can be problematic with colour perception and variations in colour depending on the calibration (brightness / contrast) settings of your monitor. Printed hard copy proofs are best but eCPRINT cannot guarantee that these will be an exact match of what your finished job will look like, they are intended merely as an indication.

Colour Variations
Our printed products may have colour variations from what you have approved on screen, to what the final product looks like. Colour variations may also exist between the front and back of the card, and variations from one run to the next can also be expected. This is the nature of CMYK offset printing and ganged bulk-run printing. Different finishes, laminates and stock variations over time will also create variations in colour. For the most precise colour matching service, we recommend upgrading to a Pantone spot colour for your printing if this is likely to be an issue. This is a premium service and will be quoted accordingly as it is a stand alone job and may also require signifigantly more lead time.

Trimming
All of our printing products include trimming. Guillotining of printing products may shift up to 2mm in any direction, therefore our DIY Artwork Guidelines should be closely followed to minimize risk of trimming affecting the look of the print. Express Digital as well as basic digital printing generally has a higher chance of trimming variations through the run.
?
Lead Times
Printing lead times may vary. The current average turnaround time for most printing products is 5-10 working days, this is not a guarantee but a guide. Printing will not commence until the Proof is approved and the Order is paid in full with the exception of credit account customers. Design time must be allowed as extra if required. ECPRINT will not be held responsible for loss or damages due to printing being delivered after this time. It is the customer’s responsibility to allow sufficient time for preparing artwork, printing and delivery.
Express Digital business cards are printed and dispatched by the next business day, separate conditions apply for express printing services.

Delivery
ECPRINT will not be held liable for printing products that are lost, damaged or delayed when delivered by post or courier. All deliveries are left on premises if no one is present to receive the delivery, so it is the customer’s responsibility to provide a suitable address for receipt of deliveries. If ECPRINT can provide a consignment number of the freight company, then it is the customer’s responsibility to contact the freight company at their discretion should they wish to track their delivery.
Some ECPRINT orders may include delivery. If an incorrect address is provided by the customer, any redirection will incurr extra charges set by ECPRINT.

Prices
While care has been taken in publishing correct prices, eCPRINT reserves the right to remove or change products and prices without notice. All quotes are valid for 30 days only and may be
subject to change after this period. In the event of prices advertised on our website or in printed catalogues being incorrectly displayed, you will be given the opportunity to cancel your order and any deposits paid will be refunded if you choose not to proceed with the order at the ammended price.

Payment
By providing an order to eCPRINT you are thereby agreeing to abide by these terms and conditions of trade including compliance with our credit policy.
