Quality and Colour Matching
Proofing
Proofs provided by eCPRINT are an indication of the final printed product only. Proofs can be provided as a hard copy or via email. Due to differences with monitors and brightness / contrast settings, email proofs can be very unreliable and eCPRINT takes no responsibility for colour matching in the case of proofs being approved by email. Hard copy proofs are more accurate but still only indicative of what your final printed job may look like. This is the nature of CMYK offset printing and bulk-run printing. eCPRINT will not be liable for any re-prints as a result of any perceived variation in colour from proof to press or from one run to the next.
Colour Variations
Colour matching can only be guarranteed where the printing process used is Pantone spot colour printing which can be quoted on request. Bulk run CMYK printing can only be proofed to about 95% accuracy, however if you wish to have CMYK colour matching on your jobs, then printing quotes for running your job as a stand alone job can be provided but will be signifigantly more expensive than our standard bulk CMYK pricing.
Guillotining (trimming)
All printing products are trimmed. Trimming of printing products may shift up to 1-3mm in any direction, therefore our artwork guidelines should be properly adhered to minimize risk of trimming affecting the look of the print. DIGITAL EXPRESS printing generally has a higher chance of trimming variations.
Corrections & Changes
Some eCPRINT design packages allow for the development of a specified number of concepts with a specified number of changes, any additional changes after the specified number may incur an additional charge. Corrections for errors or mistakes found on final proof’s will be done free of charge. It is the responsibility of the client to check proofs thoroughly and mark up any mistakes to be corrected. Changes to the design brief after the initial brief has been provided and work commenced may incur an additional charge.
Accepting Proofs
When accepting artwork proofs from eCPRINT, you are held fully responsible for accepting all content. This includes design, spelling, grammar and numbers. It is your responsibility to request another copy if your proof is difficult to read. We will print exactly what is accepted in the final proof. All care is taken in preparation of your artwork, however eCPRINT will not be liable for any errors or ommissions once artwork authorisation has been received. Once artwork authorisation has been received, we will immediately begin processing your job. Any changes to, (or cancellation of) order after this time will be liable for a ‘kill fee’ depending on the size of the job and how far it had progressed through the production process.
